MARILYN MANSON Is 'Fantastic' In New Movie

World Entertainment News Network is reporting that Marilyn Manson's make-up-free performance in the upcoming movie "The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things" (Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3) has been hailed a triumph by the writer, who labels the singer "fantastic."

The Asia Argento movie — in which Manson stars alongside Hollywood stars Peter Fonda and Winona Ryder — features the controversial heavy metal icon without his trademark face paint, and his acting skills proved to be a hit with the film's crew.

According to author JT LeRoy, who wrote the book on which the film's based, admits any reservations he had about having his character Jackson portrayed by Manson were soon abolished.

He says, "He's just fantastic in this film. It's a really hard film, and it's a really hard role. People usually like their demons straight up; they don't like it when they're made sympathetic."

"But there's a pathetic/sympathetic thing to that character, and he really pulls it off."
